I don't travel a ton of drawing stuff, but I still have struggled with how to carry my supplies when i travel. This pencil case/tablet stand is exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't know that it was what i wanted. It has very strong magnets so that it can stand upright when unzipped. I can see everything i packed in it very well and everything is very organized. It stays upright great on flat surfaces (uneven or soft surfaces are more challenging, but I just lie it flat on its back instead). I can take things out and put them away very neatly. It keeps everything contained. In this bag, I've got 2 travel-sized palettes; 8 pens; 1 pencil; 2 brushes; a kneaded eraser; a two-pot travel jar setup for water; 2 clips; a wristband to wipe dirty brushes on; a water dropper bottle; a mini water spray bottle; a small cat inspo book; pen-style scissors; pen liquid frisket; a rubber cement eraser; and a smallish hard acrylic board for when I need something hard to draw on. And I could probably squeeze more in, like a small travel journal or some paper, but this is otherwise enough of a travel kit for me and my travel journal travels separately anyway. There is a smaller version of this same bag that works the same and I can fit almost the exact same supplies inside with rearranging, except the acrylic board won't fit. It's also a noticeably tighter squeeze and I wouldn't be able to put much else in it. Anyway, I love this bag so much that I have both and use both. If space is a concern, I'd drop down to the smaller version. Both bags don't stand upright on their own when fully zipped up. But they are both brilliant at standing when unzipped and with the magnets in play. The cloth is also very sturdy and the whole thing feels like it's going to last a really long time. It does work as a phone or tablet stand, too. I wish there were more attractive colors available on US Amazon, but I'm still happy even with the understated black fabric. If I'm ever in Japan I'm going to have to try to find this in different colors. Strongly recommend this for travel art kits!
