I was very excited to finally upgrade my old spin brush to this, but I am extremely disappointed. The bristles on this are very short and solid. I have a very boney face, and this hurts to use to wash my face. After every use, my face is red and raw, and I don't even think it removes all of my makeup. It is also difficult to get batteries in and even hold to wash your face. The surface area of the bristles is also very small, so it's difficult to clean all parts of your face properly. I prefer using the manual silicone cleansing brushes over this and they are so much cheaper! So I actually bought one of these from Ulta a while ago and loooove it. I bought this one as a Christmas gift because I liked it so much I had to share. Definitely gets skin cleaner, softer, and has a good gentle exfoliating effect for smooth skin.Great product and easy on the wallet.leaves my face feeling clean and looking brightCould not get the back twisted back on. Also the back silicone had popped off and I couldn’t get it back on correctly.I own a similar but full size facial cleaning brush by Foreo but wanted something smaller for travel. This is perfect as it allows me to get a deeper clean while on the road, with a smaller, compact footprint .It takes 2 AA batteries (not included) and can be used in he shower ( its best to remove after use though and wipe down as the battery compartment can get compromised if it sits in water for a while) . It has three different sides for normal / oily / dry skin which I found a bit odd as other brands different devices for different skin but that said, different zones of the face can have different concerns at different times so this makes it more useful for some folks. It does a great job cleaning and my skin feels so much better afterwards, and as someone with dry skin, I do not find this too harsh plus I find these types of devices much easier to clear and therefor more hygienic than the old fashioned facial brushes. It is very reasonable priced and great for travel or home! Very impressedI am always looking for budget friendly skincare tools and the True Glow Silicone Cleansing Brush is definitely affordable. I have a Foreo Luna Fofo, so any comparisons that I make will be with that. One thing I like about this one is the shape of it. It's actually comfortable to hold whereas I find the Fofo to be awkard to hold. This one requires batteries. You have to twist it to get to the battery compartment. In doing so, the silicone layer came off the edges. (Kind of like bed sheets coming off the corners). It was a little tricky to get the silicone back in place. Then I had to get the lid back on and that was difficult, too. Hopefully the batteries last a really long time so I don't have to do that again! The True Glow doesn't seem to have any timer like the Fofo. It did seem like you could change the speed. Another thing, this one has 3 different types of surfaces - one in each corner. However, they're not labeled, so once I was in the shower, I couldn't remember which one did what. The Fofo only has one type of surface. They both do a good job of cleaning my skin. I would really like to see this use a different type of power source such as a charging cable. I think that would simplify things and make it easier.I’ve been using a Foreo Luna device for quite some time, and give them credit for being an innovator in this space… but now there are so many imitators out there that have been driving the price down. These are really not complicated devices… 1 button operation, they vibrate, and have a silicone brush. Simple. What is unique to me about this one comparing to the Foreo is that it has user replaceable batteries (though they are not included), and there are 3 brush zones. The Foreo’s, depending on which model you look at, have just 1 brush zone which sometimes will have 2 types of brushes in the same space (1 bigger, 1 smaller). This gives you more options depending on your preference. The latest Foreo travel model doesn’t even give you the option to charge it - once the battery dies it goes in the garbage… so the fact that this gives you the ability to swap batteries is a big plus. The power of this one is good, it does the same job as the much more expensive ones out there. Give props to Foreo for blazing the trail in this space, but there’s no reason to spend 5-20x as much on a fancy brand name when this does the same thing and arguably has some better features. From a veteran Clarisonic user, I dun have much expectations for this, just need something less heavy for travel. Upon the first use, you can feel it melts away the grease on the face, but, not strong enough to remove it. You can feel the skin is much smoother after the scrub. It is definitely working. After using for a week, I can finally feel that my skin can breathe and not much grease on it. Given I dun put on makeup nowadays, I cannot compare how well it works against Clarisonic. But, for the pennies of the price, this is a best deal. Best of all, it is waterproof. So I can directly use it in shower stall. So much more convenient. My acne has improved by using this product. Sometimes the button can be hard to turn on/off. Don’t really notice the difference from low to high on the vibration.
